This Standard Reference Material (SRM®) is intended primarily for use in validating analytical methods for the determination of vitamins, carotenoids, and elements in dietary supplement tablets and similar matrices. This SRM® can also be used for quality assurance when assigning values to in-house control materials. A unit of NIST-3280 consists of five bottles, each containing 30 tablets. The SRM® is provided as whole tablets because some of the vitamins are coated or encapsulated to provide stability and grinding would compromise this coating. Each tablet weighs approximately 1.5 g. Certified values unless otherwise stated. /// Sample value(s) - please ask for current certificate.

NIST provides over 1300 Standard Reference Materials® as well as articles and practice guides describing the development, analysis and use of SRMs.
NIST Standard Reference Materials are used by analytical laboratories in industry, academia and government in order to facilitate commerce and trade and to advance research and development. The SRMs are produced by the engineering laboratory, the material measurement laboratory, and the physical measurement laboratory at NIST. They are available for chemical composition, physical properties, and engineering materials.
