Description

This Standard Reference Material (SRM®) is intended primarily for use in the analysis of waste, soils, sediments, or other materials of a similar matrix. NIST-is a soil, heavily contaminated with chromite ore processing residue (COPR), that has been air-dried, sieved, radiation-sterilized, and blended to achieve a high degree of homogeneity. All constituents in NIST-2701 for which certified, reference, and information values are provided were naturally present in the material before processing. A unit of NIST-2701 consists of approximately 75 g of the dried, radiation-sterilized material in an amber screw-capped glass bottle. Certified values /// Sample value(s) - please ask for current certificate.

NIST provides over 1300 Standard Reference Materials® as well as articles and practice guides describing the development, analysis and use of SRMs.

NIST Standard Reference Materials are used by analytical laboratories in industry, academia and government in order to facilitate commerce and trade and to advance research and development. The SRMs are produced by the engineering laboratory, the material measurement laboratory, and the physical measurement laboratory at NIST. They are available for chemical composition, physical properties, and engineering materials.
