Description
This Standard Reference Material (SRM) is intended for the evaluation of methods for the determination of proximates, sugars, elements, amino acids, and fatty acids in mixed diets and food matrices and for quality assurance when assigning values to in-house control materials. NIST-1548b is a blended freeze-dried homogenate of foods served in a typical cafeteria, based loosely on the recipe used for NIST-1548a Typical Diet. A unit of NIST-1548b consists of two packets, each containing approximately 5 g of the freeze-dried homogenate of mixed foods.
