Description

This Standard Reference Material (SRM) is intended to assess the performance of instruments and/or methods that are used for measuring zeta potential and electrophoretic mobility. As with any reference material, it can be used for establishing control charts or validation studies. A unit of NIST-1992 consists of four pre-scored ampoules each containing approximately 5 mL of colloidal silica suspension in a borate buffer at pH 8.9. This material is a joint production of the European Commission Joint Research Centre (JRC) and NIST. NIST-1992 is materially identical to JRC ERM-FD305. /// Sample value(s) - please ask for current certificate.

National Institute of Standards and Technology

NIST provides over 1300 Standard Reference Materials® as well as articles and practice guides describing the development, analysis and use of SRMs.

NIST Standard Reference Materials are used by analytical laboratories in industry, academia and government in order to facilitate commerce and trade and to advance research and development. The SRMs are produced by the engineering laboratory, the material measurement laboratory, and the physical measurement laboratory at NIST. They are available for chemical composition, physical properties, and engineering materials.
