Description

This Standard Reference Material (SRM®) is intended for use in preparing solutions for calibrating electrodes for pH measuring systems. NIST-191d consists of two components, each prepared to ensure high purity and uniformity: Sodium Bicarbonate, NaHCO3 (191d-I), and Sodium Carbonate, Na2CO3 (191d-II). However, neither SRM® component is certified for purity of substance. A unit of NIST-191d consists of 25 g of sodium bicarbonate (191d-I) and 30 g of sodium carbonate (191d-II), each contained in its respective clear glass bottle. A solution of molality 0.025 mol/kg with respect to both NaHCO3 and Na2CO3 is recommended for the calibration of pH measuring systems. /// Sample value(s) - please ask for current certificate.

NIST | National Institute of Standards and Technology

NIST provides over 1300 Standard Reference Materials® as well as articles and practice guides describing the development, analysis and use of SRMs.

NIST Standard Reference Materials are used by analytical laboratories in industry, academia and government in order to facilitate commerce and trade and to advance research and development. The SRMs are produced by the engineering laboratory, the material measurement laboratory, and the physical measurement laboratory at NIST. They are available for chemical composition, physical properties, and engineering materials.
