Description

This Standard Reference Material (SRM®) is intended primarily for use in the measurement of the thermal conductivity or thermal resistance of insulation materials. NIST-1450e is a high-density fibrous glass board certified for bulk density and thermal conductivity. The SRM® can be used in conjunction with ASTM C177 or ASTM C518. A unit of NIST-1450e consists of a square panel of fibrous glass and phenolic binder molded into a semi-rigid board. The nominal dimensions of a unit are 610 mm x 610 mm x 25 mm, and the bulk density of the material lot ranges from 110 kg*m-3 to 154 kg*m-3. /// Sample value(s) - please ask for current certificate.

National Institute of Standards and Technology

NIST provides over 1300 Standard Reference Materials® as well as articles and practice guides describing the development, analysis and use of SRMs.

NIST Standard Reference Materials are used by analytical laboratories in industry, academia and government in order to facilitate commerce and trade and to advance research and development. The SRMs are produced by the engineering laboratory, the material measurement laboratory, and the physical measurement laboratory at NIST. They are available for chemical composition, physical properties, and engineering materials.
