Application Notes: 2-(Azetidin-1-yl)ethanol is used to prepare novel proline and morpholine derivatives as inhibitors of 11-beta-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase type 1 (11-beta-hsd-1) for treatment of diabetes and obesity.
