Application Note: N-Acetyl N-Penta-cbz Neomycin B is an intermediate used in the synthesis of Neomycin B-LP Trifluoroacetic Acid Salt (N390035), which is a derivative of Neomycin (N389975) which is an aminoglycoside antibiotic found in many topical medications. Neomycin has been used as a preventive measure for hepatic encephalopathy and hypercholesterolemia.
