EZ-Fit(R) Filtration funnel is used in bioburden testing of liquid samples and is designed for optimal recovery. Optimized funnel-to-base assembly and the drain support, ensure that the membrane remains flat after filtration of the sample. When transferred to a culture medium, the entire membrane is in contact with the culture media surface, there are no folds, so optimal microbial recovery is possible. The hydrophobic nature of the funnel material and its shape minimizes any sample residue collecting on the surface and thus the whole volume of the sample reaches the membrane. The EZ-Fit(R) pink units come with a wide range of membranes from 0.22 to 0.8 mum for maximum versatility to suit all applications. The new, patented drain design speeds up processing turbid and hard-to-filter matrices.
