Description

HIF-1alpha is the oxygen sensitive subunit of the hypoxia inducible factor HIF-1 which is an essential mediator of the cellular oxygen-signalling pathway. Under hypoxic conditions HIF-1alpha activates the transcription of over 40 genes, including those that control glucose uptake, metabolism, angiogenesis, erythropoiesis, cell proliferation, and apoptosis. The expression of HIF-1alpha is commonly increased in a variety of human tumours, and correlates with poor patient prognosis. Under normoxia this protein interacts with the ubiquitin ligase VHL complex, leading to its polyubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation., AXIS(TM) Axon Isolation Devices, 450 µ,m long channels, 10 devices
