Description
The NRC-LNP-2 certified reference material (CRM) is a stable and homogeneous dispersion of siRNA loaded lipid nanoparticles (94% siRNA entrapment efficiency) of known provenance intended for methods development, inter-laboratory comparisons, verification of instrument performance, quality control, and general laboratory use to increase the confidence of size measurements of lipid-based as well as other soft nanoparticle formulations by dynamic light scattering. A single LNP-2 vial contains minimum 0.3 mL of lipid nanoparticle dispersion in pH 8, 48 mM Tris-HCl 10% sucrose buffer.

The NRC CRM program was originally established in 1976 to produce certified reference materials for inorganic and organic marine environmental analysis. The NRC is now an internationally recognized producer of high-quality CRMs with materials now available for analytes such as:
- Algal and cyanobacterial toxins
- Amino acids
- Contaminants
- Dietary supplements
- Ethanol
- Mycotoxins
- Particle size
- Peptides
- Proteins
- Stable isotopes standards
- Total element content
- Trace element species
- Veterinary drugs
