Application Notes: 1-Methyl-4-imidazoleacetic Acid Hydrochloride is a metabolite of histamine (H436500), which is produced by mast cells and involved with the inflammatory response. 1-Methyl-4-imidazoleacetic Acid Hydrochloride can also be used to synthesize N-[1-(9,10-methano-9-anthracenylmethyl)-4-piperidinyl]alkanamides and analogs as dopamine D2 receptor antagonists. /// References: Turnbull, L.
