Description
Application Note: 4-Methyl-5-pentylbenzene-1,3-diol is a secondary metabolite of SteelyA polyketide synthase, which controls cell aggregation and spore maturation of Dictyostelium discoideum, Also, it is an intermediate used in the synthesis of 4-Methyl Cannabigerol (M295365), which is analog of Cannabigerol (C175370), which is a partial agonist of CB2 and CB1 receptors. Cannabigerol (C175370), a non-psychoactive cannabinoid, also exhibits alpha2-adrenoceptor agonist activity (EC50 = 0.2 nM in mouse brain membranes).
