Artemisinin-d4 is also an intermediate in the synthesis of Dihydro Artemisinin-d3 (Dihydro Artemisinin-d3), which is the main labelled metabolite of Artemisinin, Arteether, Artemether, Artesunate. An active antimalarial metabolite.
