Description

The definitive endoderm generates the epithelial lining of the respiratory and digestive tracts as well as cell of the thyroid, thymus, lungs, liver and pancreas. The definitive endoderm induction medium (SCM302) is a defined, animal component-free, ready-to-use serum-free medium for efficient differentiation of human pluripotent stem cells (ES/iPSCs) to definitive endoderm (DE) cells. The 3-day differentiation protocol is simple and has been validated on multiple human iPS cell lines. Differentiated cells express high levels (>85%) of endoderm markers including CXCR4, c-Kit, Sox-17 and FOXA2 and can be further differentiated into specialized endodermal cell lineages. Definitive Endoderm Induction Medium can be used to generate 3D organoids such as hiPS derived colon (Cat. No. SCC300) and lung organoids.
