EZ-Float Tissue Mounting Reagent can be used to mount tissue sections to glass slides prior to antibody incubation and staining or after all incubation and staining steps are completed. Simply remove the buffer solution in which the tissue is suspended and replace it with freshly prepared 1X EZ-Float working solution. Then, using a large bore pipet, gently transfer the tissue and a small amount of reagent to a microscope slide. Alternatively, the tissue can be positioned on the slide by placing the glass slide directly in the 1X EZ-Float working solution and gently manipulating the tissue to the desired position on the glass. Finally, remove any excess solution by wicking off around the tissue., EZ-Float Tissue Mounting Reagent is a novel aqueous solution made specifically for mounting free-floating tissue sections to glass microscope slides during immuno-histochemical (IHC) analysis. The EZ-Float Reagent enhances sample quality by minimizing folding or tearing of tissue sections. In addition, it facilitates the attachment of tissue to a variety of glass slides (coated and non-coated), which is often difficult when using buffered saline as the transfer solution. EZ-Float Reagent is also compatible with traditional IHC staining (like DAB) and even fluorescent detection. In conclusion, the EZ-Float Reagent dramatically reduces the sample processing time when compared to conventional tissue mounting procedures without impacting staining quality or intensity during IHC procedures.
