The EZ-FIT(R) filtration unit is a single-use filtration device made of white, gridded, and mixed cellulose esters (MCE) membrane with pink base. It avoids exposure to the risks of microbiological analysis, thereby providing a safe and fast way of performing membrane filtration. These filtration units provide time saving and reliable microbial enumeration results. They also prevent any leaks or sample by-pass of the membrane. These filtration units are pre-sterilized, a vented lid covers the sample throughout filtration, and a 360 rim prevents forceps from accidentally touching the membrane filtration area and protect samples from contamination. The filtration process can be visualized from any angle until the end, through the clear and transparent funnel material. The filtration units minimize sample residue and can be stacked to save the work area. This disposable device is designed to fit onto the EZ-FIT(R) Manifold, which features specific EZ-FIT(R) Filtration heads. It can also fit onto a standard #8 stopper. The bulk packaged units are provided with a protective plastic bag.
