Description

A cell-permeable indole derivative that acts as an inhibitor of Wnt signaling and exhibits an inhibitory effect in a reporter cell line (IC50 = 4.6 µ,M) and demonstrates growth inhibition in multiple cancer cell lines, not by altering beta-catenin accumulation but by blocking transcription at the beta-catenin level. Displays reduced expression of Wnt target genes in myc and survivin-luciferase reporter assays, and exhibits in vivo activity by blocking the development of zebrafish at 20 µ,M and Xenopus embryos at 75 µ,M.
