Description
A cell-permeable, amphiphilic amino-steroid that alters intracelluar membrane protein trafficking by impairing intracellular biosynthesis and transport of LDL-derived cholesterol. Reported to exert its effects via the inhibition of 2,3-oxidosqualene-lanosterol cyclase activity.
