Description

Strong irritant for mouse skin, but only moderately active as a tumor promoter. Activates protein kinase C. Stimulates the phosphorylation of Na+,K+- ATPase, thereby inhibiting its activity. Promotes the expression of inducible NOS in cultured hepatocytes.
