Useful for the detection of MMP activity (kcat/Km = 619,000 M-1s-1 for MMP-2, 206,000 M-1s-1 for MMP-9, 40,000 M-1s-1 for MMP-3, 21,000 M-1s-1 for MMP-1, pH = 7.6 at 37C). Exhibits a high degree of sensitivity, which is not affected by optical disturbances in biological media.
