Description

A cell-permeable, reversible, and ATP-competitive naturally-occurring co-product of polyamine biosynthesis that acts as an endogenous substrate of methylthioadenosine phosphorylase (MTAP). Potently inhibits the protein carboxymethyltransferase and induces apoptosis in leukemia U937 cells.
