Description

A boronic acid based arginine analog that acts as a selective, slow- binding, reversible, competitive transition state inhibitor of arginase type I and II (Ki = 310 nM for human recombinant type II arginase, pH 7.5). Shown to enhance nitric oxide-dependent relaxation of human penile corpus cavernosum smooth muscle by inhibiting the activity of arginase.
