An irreversible blocker of NF-kappaB and AP-1 (IC50 <= 15 µ,M) activation that displays anti-viral, anti-inflammatory, anti-apoptotic, and anti-hyperglycemic properties. Exerts no effect on IkappaBalpha degradation of nuclear translocation p50 and p65. Inhibits iNOS and Mac-1 expressions and ROS production, and prevents endotoxin shock in a mouse model.
