ReadyTube(R) modified semi-Solid RAPPAPORT-VASSILIADIS medium is used for the selective enrichment and presumptive detection of Salmonella sp. This medium is a semi-solid modification of Rappaport-Vassiliadis enrichment broth and is used for motility enrichment in Petri dishes. It is a rapid and sensitive medium for the isolation of Salmonella sp. and can be seeded directly after pre-enrichment.
