Description

CAPZIP (CapZ-interacting protein) is highly expressed in immune cells and muscle and uniquely interacts with CapZ, an F-actin capping protein, in splenocytes. Phosphorylation of CAPZIP is thought to regulate CapZ ability to remodel actin filament assembly. CAPZIP may also contain a CPI (capping protein interaction) motif that seems to restrict capping protein to a low-affinity, filament-binding conformation.
