"The human Tau family of microtubule-associated neuronal proteins has been rigorously studied in the context of normal and aberrant neurobiology. While typically involved in the stability of axonal microtubules, Tau proteins can also play a role in neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's Disease (AD) and frontotemporal dementia (FTD) if they aberrantly misfold and accumulate in the brain. This assay takes advantage of a standard immunoassay workflow configured in a standard plate format.
