Environment and Climate Change Canada produces a range of matrix reference materials to support the accuracy and reliability of environmental analyses.
The materials are representative of whole samples of natural waters collected at locations in North America and naturally contaminated sediments from the Great Lakes Basin. Some reference materials, e.g. for trace element analysis, are fortified with artificial doses of the target constituent.
