Product Description: Enverify(TM) Viable Surface Sampling Competency Kit is a test kit for determining surface sampling competency and training verification. This includes the technician's ability to adequately recover viable microorganisms from a surface as well as the technician's aseptic technique while taking a surface sample. Each kit contains 5 total Enverify(TM) test surfaces. Three of the test surfaces are coated with a known quantity of the reference microorganism, and two of the test surfaces are sterile, blinded blank surfaces. Tests: Viability: A standard set of the Enverify™ microbial-coated test surfaces are tested using a full recovery method and plated on nonselective agar media. Specification: Average CFU/test surface must be less than 100 CFU/test surface. Sterile Blanks: Coating on sterile blanks is tested to determine if the sterile blanks are free of microbes that grow on non-selective media. Specification: No growth observed on sterile blank samples. Passage: Passage number is stated as the current preserved state.
