Each ampoule contains 0.5 mL of a solution of OA in methanol at a concentration of 17 µM. Okadaic acid (OA) is a toxin produced by marine dinoflagellates that is implicated in diarrhetic shellfish poisoning (DSP), a gastrointestinal syndrome caused by consumption of contaminated shellfish.
