Aflatoxins are a group of very carcinogenic mycotoxins with hepatotoxic effects. Aflatoxin is biotransformed to genotoxic intermediates by P450 Phase I enzymes, mainly CYP3A4 via aflatoxin B1 3-hydroxylation.
