The Milliflex(R) Rapid Microbiology Detection System is an automated solution for the rapid detection, response and resolution of microbial contamination in filterable samples throughout the manufacturing process. The system improves process control, product yield and the timely release of products. Based on Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP) Bioluminescence technology, the Milliflex(R) Rapid System delivers faster test results than traditional microbial contamination detection methods. Milliflex Oasis(R) Rapid 100 mL funnel is a ready-to-use, sterilized filter unit that combines a funnel and a plain membrane filter in a single device offering a complete solution for bioburden testing. The filter unit is made of Styrene butadiene copolymer and the membrane is made of white plain, 49mm diameter polyvinylidene difluoride (Durapore(R)) with 0.45mum pore size. The sealed integral membrane filter eliminates the need for membrane manipulation and handling, thus minimizing a major source of contamination and thereby improves bioburden testing reliability. The Milliflex(R) Rapid System is an intelligent system that can detect and count viable microorganisms filtered onto a membrane down to 1 CFU per sample and the time taken to detect bacteria is approximately one-fourth the time of the standard method.
