A furanyl thiazolidinone compound that binds CD11b alphaA/alphaI domain in a reversible manner and stabilizes alphaA in a high-affinity binding conformation toward known CD11b/CD18 (alphaMbeta2, CR3, Mac-1) ligands, fibrinogen, ICAM-1, and iC3B. Reported to be superior to IMB-10 (Cat. No. 407271) in enhancing Mac-1-mediated cell adhesion (EC50 = 4 vs. >50 µ,M on fibrinogen surface).
