A potent, cell-permeable, inhibitor of protein kinase C (PKC) that has been shown to selectively inhibit several PKC isozymes (IC50 = 7 nM for PKCalpha and PKCbeta, 6 nM for PKCgamma, 10 nM for PKCdelta, 60 nM for PKCzeta).
