GSP Agar is designed for selective detection and isolation of Pseudomonas and Aeromonas spp. in food, wastewater, and equipment samples from food industry.Accompanying microflora cannot metabolize glutamate and starch present in the media which enhances the selectivity of the medium. Selective growth on the medium is indicated by color change of phenol red to yellow for Aeromonas spp. Pseudomonas spp. growth will not indicate any color change from red.
