Description

This Standard Reference Material (SRM®) is primarily intended for use in the calibration and validation of procedures and methods employed in clinical analysis for the determination of electrolytes in either diluted or undiluted human serum or plasma. This SRM® can be used for calibrating direct-reading ion-selective electrode (ISE) analyzers and for quality assurance in validating secondary reference materials. A unit of NIST-956d consists of six sealed borosilicate glass ampoules of frozen human serum, two ampoules each of three different concentration levels. Each ampoule contains approximately 2 mL of human serum. Reference values for ionized calcium, phosphate and phosphorus. /// Sample value(s) - please ask for current certificate.

National Institute of Standards and Technology

NIST provides over 1300 Standard Reference Materials® as well as articles and practice guides describing the development, analysis and use of SRMs.

NIST Standard Reference Materials are used by analytical laboratories in industry, academia and government in order to facilitate commerce and trade and to advance research and development. The SRMs are produced by the engineering laboratory, the material measurement laboratory, and the physical measurement laboratory at NIST. They are available for chemical composition, physical properties, and engineering materials.
