Description

This Standard Reference Material (SRM®) is a solution of ethanol (ethyl alcohol - Chemical Abstracts Service [CAS] Registry Number 64-17-5) in water at a nominal concentration of 95.6 % by mass. This SRM is intended primarily for use in the calibration of instruments and techniques used for the determination of ethanol in water-based media. NIST-2900 consists of five 10-milliliter ampoules (nominal concentration of 95.6 % by mass), each containing approximately 10 mL of solution. /// Sample value(s) - please ask for current certificate.

National Institute of Standards and Technology

NIST provides over 1300 Standard Reference Materials® as well as articles and practice guides describing the development, analysis and use of SRMs.

NIST Standard Reference Materials are used by analytical laboratories in industry, academia and government in order to facilitate commerce and trade and to advance research and development. The SRMs are produced by the engineering laboratory, the material measurement laboratory, and the physical measurement laboratory at NIST. They are available for chemical composition, physical properties, and engineering materials.
